ADHD & Organizing

In this episode of ADHD FM, we’re talking organizing, clutter, and all the feelings that come with it and wow, I felt very seen. I sit down with Lorinda of Organizing with Lorinda to unpack doom piles (Didn’t Organize, Only Moved), perfectionism paralysis, and why ADHD brains struggle so much with “simple” tasks like laundry and Tupperware drawers.

We get into practical, ADHD-friendly strategies that actually work: fewer steps, visible systems, tiny hampers, timing tasks so they stop feeling catastrophic, and even gamifying chores. The goal isn’t a rainbow pantry. It’s making it just as easy to put something away as it is to take it out — and embracing doing it “crappy” instead of not at all.

The Most Important Reminder

Clutter is morally neutral.

You are worthy and deserving of love and respect regardless of what your junk drawer looks like.

This episode isn’t about becoming a minimalist or having a Pinterest pantry. It’s about finding systems that work with your brain — and giving yourself so much more grace in the process.

If organizing has felt heavy, shame-filled, or impossible, I hope this conversation feels like a deep exhale.

And if you try the “power of five minutes” challenge, come tell me how it goes. Your brain isn’t broken. It just needs different tools.
